Early Childhood Consultant / Home Visitor – Calgary, AB
Position Overview
We are currently looking for an experienced Early Childhood Consultant / Home Visitor to join our team. This role combines remote administrative and mentorship work with on-site visits to dayhome programs throughout Calgary and surrounding areas. As a Consultant/Home Visitor, you will support educators in maintaining high-quality childcare environments, licensing compliance, professional growth, and positive relationships with families and the agency team. We are looking for someone passionate about early childhood education, highly organized, solutions-focused, and confident working independently in both field and computer-based environments.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Alberta Early Childhood Educator Level 3 Certification required
- Minimum 5 years of Canadian ECE experience required
- Experience in multiple ECE roles preferred, including combinations but not limited to: Consultant/Home Visitor, Dayhome, Childcare Centre, Supervisor/Director.
- Strong knowledge of Alberta childcare licensing standards and best practices
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong sense of professionalism, service, and teamwork
- Strong computer and administrative skills
- Comfortable with online systems, documentation, digital communication, and report writing
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search required
- Three professional reference letters from previous employers or professional contacts required

Responsibilities
- Conduct regular home visits and monitoring visits
- Support educators with licensing compliance and program quality
- Review documentation, safety standards, and program planning
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional guidance
- Maintain professional records and digital documentation
- Communicate with educators, families, and agency administration
- Assist with onboarding, inspections, training, and quality improvement initiatives
- Support agency growth and development projects
Schedule & Work Environment
- Combination of remote and on-site work

Back-Up Educator / Relief Staff – Calgary, AB

Wage
Competitive hourly wage based on Alberta ECE Certification Level, experience, and applicable provincial wage top-up.
About the Role
Happy Panda Dayhome Agency is seeking reliable and passionate Back-Up Early Childhood Educators to provide temporary coverage within licensed family dayhomes across Calgary.
This role is similar to a floater or enhancement educator position in childcare centres, adapted to the family dayhome environment. Back-Up Educators support continuity of care and daily program operations during approved educator absences. Flexible availability and willingness to travel within Calgary are considered assets.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Alberta Early Childhood Educator Certification Level 1, 2, or 3
- Experience working with children in licensed childcare settings
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Three professional references
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently in home-based childcare environments
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and nurturing care for children in licensed family dayhomes
- Maintain active supervision and support children’s daily routines
- Support age-appropriate learning experiences and play-based programming
- Follow agency policies, licensing requirements, and health & safety procedures
- Assist with meals, toileting, diapering, naps, hygiene, and transitions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe childcare environment
- Communicate professionally with families, educators, and agency staff
- Complete required documentation and incident reporting when necessary
- Adapt to different dayhome environments, routines, and age groups
